In a Time of Isolation, we Choose Solidarity.
As Taiwanese American business owners residing in New York, we were surprised to see this full-page ad that appeared in The New York Times on April 14 as part of a crowdfunding campaign to raise global awareness of Taiwan's willingness and ability to provide medical assistance during the COVID 19 pandemic.
Wanting to spread more awareness regarding this project in the US, we created a special edition of our signature Two-Tone sneaker design with an additional twist inspired by the design and color palette of the minimalist print ad. This shoe is not for sale, created purely as part of the campaign effort to raise awareness for the message.
Creating with Shapes
The circle, the square, and the triangle are the basis of design teaching at the Bauhaus, which still influences how art and design is taught today. These geometric shapes inform the way we design the things around us, and is the foundation of THEY's core designs.
